Godin And Shirky

Godin and Shirky makes a presentation about global networking, both were expressive both in two different ways. Godin expresses his self with a lot of humor but careful not to portray a joke out of his subject. He uses funny pictures of clowns babies, and balloons. However Shirky seems more firm about his proposal. For example he uses Africa and an Explosion in Asia to make his point.Even though there both talking about global networking, there is a contrast within the subject. One seem to persuade while the other to inform. For example, Godin's motive was to persuade the audience to come together and form tribes. Tribes that will only take a few people that are interested in your motive. It was a speech to instill encouragement to the audience to form tribes of any purpose. He gave examples of tribes that are well known within a society, community or school. He talks about coming together using global networking. On the other hand, Shirky's informative speech talks about global networking and its disadvantages. For example events that have happen and the citizens that took control of the event by posting it before the media could make a headline about it. He describes how global networking played a big part in the presidential election. The past election was much more different than previous elections. Simply because global networking was commonly used by our president. The internet is a fast way to spread ideas, suggestions and point of views. On the contrary, the two men accomplished there task, there conclusion, there objective. Both men have came to a conclusion about networking. Godin encourages people to use the internet more because its an advantage to any tribe that someone wants to create. It helps people present there point of view across the world. Though both men arrive a conclusion they aren't similar. Shirky expresses that social media changed history. He informed us about a blog that Barack Obama created to inform citizens about the election. Obama had people that disagreed with him but he didnt take the blog down. This was a way for Obama to collect peoples ideas and views about his ideas and views. In comparison, both men came to a point in there speech were they were talking about informing others by global networking. For example, Godin talks about individuals forming tribes to inform the public about their tribe. While Shirky uses Obama using global networking to inform the public about the election..
